His primary area of practice is construction law and includes the representation of general contractors, and other construction professionals in the negotiation and preparation of construction documents, and the negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation of construction contract claims, construction and design defect claims, insurance claims, and related matters. Mr. Reisman’s construction law practice also includes project administration assistance for the early identification and resolution of potential conflicts and disputes. Mr. Reisman has represented clients in litigation and arbitration involving building cladding systems; roofing; foundations; reinforced, prestressed and post tensioned concrete construction; drywall assemblies; masonry construction; stucco; metal and plastic piping and many other building systems and components. He has also litigated and arbitrated delay and impact claims and presented requests for equitable adjustment on public works. Mr. Reisman has served as an arbitrator in many construction disputes including large complex cases and international cases. Mr. Reisman's general litigation practice includes real estate related litigation, banking litigation, contract disputes and business torts. Mr. Reisman is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida as well as all courts of the State of Florida. Mr. Reisman is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell and is listed in Chambers USA among the highest ranked construction lawyers in the state. He is certified as a specialist in Construction Law by The Florida Bar and is recognized by publications such as The Best Lawyers in America, The International Who's Who of Construction Lawyers and Florida Super Lawyers. Additionally, he served on the Construction Advisory Council and Panel of Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Construction Industry Forum and Litigation Section), the Florida Bar (Litigation and Business Law Sections) and the Construction Association of South Florida. Mr. Reisman has authored articles and conducted seminars on various construction law topics for The Florida Bar, National Business Institute, Construction Specifications Institute, Construction Association of South Florida, Southeast Construction, and Lorman Educational Services.
