Matthew P. Coglianese (Environmental Litigation) and Stephen H. Reisman (Construction and Civil Litigation) have been recognized by South Florida Legal Guide's Top Lawyers in South Florida. The Top Lawyers list is a "definitive list of "Lawyers' Lawyers" in South Florida based on a peer review nomination procedure." The lawyers chosen to be on the list have many years of experience and a distinguished record of achievement in the legal profession.


November 2009


Matt Coglianese recently co-authored a chapter entitled "Sustainable Design and Construction: When Green Turns Red" in Risk Management for Design Professionals in a World of Change. Mr. Coglianese's chapter discusses the risks involved in "green" building construction and how to manage them. For more information, please click here.

Steve Charney served as the co-chair of the ConsensusDOCS and the AGC committees for the development and drafting of the first and only standard form agreement for "green" construction. This landmark document is the first to recognize the need for someone to lead "green" building issues and addresses, in detail, a process for parties to follow in developing a "green" project, as well as the structure for dealing with the liability issues associated with "green" construction. This contract document, ConsensusDOCS 310, was published on November 10, 2009. Additionally, Mr. Charney and Tom Thompson recently spoke about this issue and other strategies for identifying and managing the risks involved with "green" construction at the IRMI Construction Risk Conference on November 2nd in Washington, DC.
