Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting research on laws, regulations, and case precedents to assist the attorneys with legal documents.
- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and briefs for court filings.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and deadlines are met.
- Interacting with clients to gather information, provide updates, and facilitate communication between clients and attorneys.
- Provide discovery assistance by preparing requests for documents, and reviewing documents in electronically stored information databases.
- Filing documents with courts, including electronic filing systems, and tracking court deadlines.
- Performing general administrative duties like scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Assisting attorneys in preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations and/or mediations.
- Organize, manage and maintain case files.
Experience: 5-7+ years of relevant job experience as a paralegal in a law firm.
Qualifications:

- College degree

- Strong interpersonal skills
- Professional attitude and demeanor
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience timekeeping for billing purposes.
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Paralegal certification/training
- Experience with Federal and/or DC, MD and VA procedures and e-filing systems
