Levi W. Barrett, Senior Counsel in Peckar & Abramson’s New York office, will speak at the Associated General Contractors’ 100th Annual Convention. Mr. Barrett’s presentation is titled, “Delegated Design, Design-Assist, and the Erosion of the Spearin Doctrine, the Risks and Opportunities for Builders.” This presentation is intended to arm construction professionals with the tools to recognize, understand, and mitigate design liability and to avoid assuming overbroad or unfair risks. In addition, the presentation will examine ConsensusDocs’ new design assist addendum (ConsensuDocs 541). Mr. Barrett’s presentation will take place on Tuesday, April 2 from 9:30 am to 10:30 pm. The 100th Annual AGC Convention will take place April 1 – 4 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO.
