RegisterCrystal Dang, senior associate in Peckar & Abramson’s Houston office, will moderate the panel discussion, “Burn Out or Blow Up – The Impact of Unconscious Bias in Workforce Development,” at the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC)’s 2022 national convention. The presentation will address the role unconscious bias plays in employee recruitment and retention. The goal is to define unconscious bias, how to identify it in the workplace, and the importance of addressing unconscious bias in workforce development.
Panelists include Meloni Raney, President & CEO of TEXO; Rita Phillip, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for The Lane Construction Corporation; and Angela Cotie, Vice President of Operations-ETX for Bartlett Cocke General Contractors. The session will take place on Wednesday, March 30 from 9:30am to 10:30am CT. The convention will take place March 28 to March 31 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center.
