Williams, senior counsel in Peckar & Abramson’s Dallas office, will present “Understanding Buy America Legislation to Avoid Buying Trouble” at a Dallas Bar Association Construction Law Section meeting. This presentation will cover the history and purpose of Buy American and Buy America, as well as their structure, exceptions, and waivers from coverage and their application to infrastructure construction as a result of changes brought about by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, as well as Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) implementation of same. This presentation will also cover the consequences of non-compliance and suggested best practices.
This in-person meeting will occur on Thursday, February 2, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm CT at the Arts District Mansion.
