Mark R. Berry, Partner in the firm’s Washington, DC office and Freddy X. Munoz, Associate in the firm’s Miami office, will speak at a webinar titled “Drone Use in the Construction Industry – Complying with FAA Regulations” on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 12:00noon to 1:00pm. The capabilities and use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the construction industry are expanding at a rapid pace. Because drones (as they are often commonly referred) are regulated as aircraft, strict rules apply which limit permissible uses on construction projects, especially in crowded environments. During the conference we will discuss the current permissible uses of UAS in the construction environment, and identify new initiatives intended to expand these limits and ease the regulatory process for seeking exemptions for project specific usage. We will also provide suggestions and actions that can be taken to ensure that your project teams comply with the current regulations and avoid risk of violations.
