RegisterLori Ann Lange, Co-Chair of the the firm’s Government Contracts Practice Group and Partner in our Washington, DC office, will participate in a panel discussion at the MSBA’s Legal Summit & Annual Meeting entitled “Figures Don’t Lie, But Liars Figure: Maryland’s New False Claim Act.” Ms. Lange’s panel will include discussions on the key elements of a false claim, the differences between the Federal and Maryland Acts, investigations, qui tam and whistleblowing, as well as recent developments. Although presented from a construction perspective, the False Claims Act is relevant to all attorneys whose clients do business with the government. This presentation will take place on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 8 AM – 10:30 AM.
