The 6th Annual Groundbreaking Women in Construction (GWIC) conference, sponsored by ENR in partnership with Peckar & Abramson, will be held on May 6, 2015 at the TKP New York Conference Center in New York City. Melinda S. Gentile will co-host this 6th annual Groundbreaking Women in Construction Conference titled “Across the Generations: Addressing the Elephants Still in the Room,” learn how gender dynamics have and haven’t evolved and explore common issues women face in the modern workplace. This year’s conference will examine the social questions surrounding a diverse labor force and will provide key insights into how women manage other women, what to do when you encounter harassment at work, how to manage family planning and other career changing decisions, and much more. Join women from all levels in the construction industry and make the connections that will make a difference in your career. Tom Curran will be speaking at the 6th Annual Groundbreaking Women in Construction conference on May 6, 2015 at the TKP New York Conference Center in New York City. Mr. Curran will be speaking on the topic titled “Across the Generations: Addressing the Elephants STILL in the Room” focusing on construction issues and best practices. Mr. Curran will discuss corruption and noncompliance delay projects, drive up construction costs and carry heavy penalties. During this session, Mr. Curran will include discussions about how to identify corruption and other common construction industries and best practices for reporting corruption and resolving compliance issues.
