Steven M. Charney, Chairman, along with Charles F. Kenny and Michael S. Zicherman, Partners in the firm’s New Jersey office, will participate in a program in collaboration with the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey (ACCNJ) and the Association for the Improvement of American Infrastructure (AIAI) at the Carpenters Training Center in Edison, New Jersey on October 30, 2018.

On August 14, 2018, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed Senate Bill S-865, creating New Jersey’s new Public-Private Partnership law. This program will discuss the elements of this legislation and address the following:

• What are P3s and what are they not
• The purpose of the new statue and how it could be used effectively in the state
• The history of P3s in New Jersey and other states
• Understanding the components of the new P3 law
• How P3s differ from traditional construction procurement in New Jersey
• Where construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers fit within the P3 landscape
