Published Date: April 23, 2020
Peckar & Abramson, PC (P&A) is pleased to announce that the firm has again been recognized by Chambers & Partners USA in the area of Construction Law at the Band 1 level Nationwide, the highest level. P&A stands alone in its distinction of being named a Band 1 firm in Construction Law nationally each year for the 18 consecutive years that Chambers has awarded this recognition.
Each of P&A’s offices in New York, New Jersey, Washington, DC, Texas, and Florida were ranked Band 1 in Construction Law, and the Firm’s California office was also highly ranked.
Additionally, 19 of P&A’s construction lawyers were named as leading construction lawyers in their respective jurisdictions – more than any other construction law practice in the country.
Peckar & Abramson has achieved national recognition for its successes in representing members of the construction industry, both domestically and internationally, as demonstrated by its consistent Chambers USA rankings. “The firm has a steadfast commitment to exemplary client service, to exceeding our clients’ expectations, and to serving the construction industry as a whole,” said P&A Chairman, Steven M. Charney. “Our Chambers rankings are a direct reflection of this commitment.”
Mr. Charney was listed by Chambers this year in the coveted National Band 1, recognizing his national reputation. P&A co-founder, Robert S. Peckar, noted, “Steve Charney, our firm Chairman since 2008 and my successor in this role in our firm, was moved into Chambers’ Band 1 Nationally this year, a recognition achieved by very few construction attorneys in the United States.” He continued, “It’s extremely well-deserved for his commitment and service to the industry and the profession, and his decades of experience in litigating for and providing legal counsel to contractors.”
Market commentary included in the 2020 Chambers review of the firm hailed Peckar & Abramson as “the go-to firm for contractors” and clients said, “they are responsive, timely and do an excellent job in a cost-effective manner.”
