Charles E. Williams, III, Partner in the firm’s New York office, has received the prestigious Bridgett Medal from Franklin & Marshall (F&M) College, a private co-educational liberal arts college in Lancaster, PA., where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree.
Mr. Williams focuses his practice on construction, real property and government relations issues and commercial litigation, including the representation of sureties. He has tried numerous cases in New York State courts and has frequently represented clients in actions in the federal courts in both New York and New Jersey.
The Bridgett Medal honor is presented to F&M alumni of African American descent for outstanding achievement in a chosen profession or endeavor. The award is named after Sydney Bridgett, a dedicated F&M alumnus who, after becoming the second African American graduate of the College, served as a civilian employee of the U.S. Air Force and went on to a distinguished career as an educator in the Lancaster area. Past recipients of the Bridgett Medal include clergy, physicians, lawyers, business executives, entrepreneurs and government officials.
