Construction and Infrastructure Attorney Brian F. Smith Joins New York Office of National Construction Law Firm Peckar & Abramson as Special Infrastructure Counsel

Peckar & Abramson, P.C. (P&A) is pleased to announce that construction and infrastructure attorney Brian F. Smith has joined the firm’s New York office as Special Infrastructure Counsel.
Mr. Smith is a seasoned attorney with more than 30 years of experience in civil infrastructure projects, with a unique focus on transportation related transactions. He provides clients with a wealth of expertise in projects related to the development of road, bridge, rail and airport projects. Mr. Smith frequently advises clients involved in major transportation and other civil infrastructure projects in the New York metropolitan area and across the United States.
Prior to joining Peckar & Abramson, Mr. Smith served as Attorney with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, where he was directly responsible for oversight of all aspects of the agency’s construction contracts, including directing and advising on contractual and commercial risk, contract negotiation and joint venture contracts. Throughout the course of his career with the Port Authority, he handled and had oversight for numerous engineering & construction contracts, including design-build and Public-Private Partnerships (P3s or PPPs).
Mr. Smith is admitted to practice in the State of New York. He received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.E. in Civil Engineering from the State University of New York at Fort Schuyler, Maritime College.
