Published Date: October 14, 2017
Gregory R. Begg, a partner in the firm’s New Jersey office, will serve on the faculty of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s upcoming program, “2017 Redevelopment Law Institute” to be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel in Iselin, New Jersey. The 2017 installment of the Institute will bring together Attorneys, Planners, Financial Consultants, and other Professionals who are involved in working on redevelopment projects statewide. For those practitioners, developers, and members of government whose work focus on redevelopment, this intermediate level seminar affords an opportunity to delve more deeply into some of issues being addressed as we advise clients undertaking redevelopment projects. The Institute assumes a basic understanding of the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law and redevelopment generally. Mr. Begg and his panel will discuss: recent developments regarding the lawful use of Project Labor Agreements on public or publicly assisted projects; benefits and risks for all parties to a PLA; key aspects of a well-balanced project labor agreement; challenges regarding minority, women, disadvantaged business and local resident hiring requirements with or without a PLA.
