Karla Pascarella, a partner in the firm’s Austin office, has been named Chair of the Human Rights Committee of the International Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Ms. Pascarella will assume this role in June 2018.  Ms. Pascarella represents a wide range of international and domestic corporate clients and construction professionals. Her practice primarily concentrates on commercial litigation, corporate compliance and governance, complex dispute resolution, and construction law.

Texas lawyers whose clients are involved in international business may be confronted more frequently with the human, legal, and reputational risk associated with violations of internationally recognized human rights.  The State Bar of Texas International Section’s International Human Rights Committee is charged with providing information and guidance on this topic for practicing lawyers in Texas.
