Mark R. Berry and Jesse Keene Authored Article in American Road & Transportation Builders Association

Mark R. Berry and Jesse Keene, attorney’s in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office along with Pat McGeehin of FTI Consulting co-authored and article that appeared in the recent addition of the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) magazine. The article titled, “Contract Certifications: What Am I Signing and How Can it Get Me Into Trouble?”, discusses construction contracts, particularly those with federal, state, and local governments that require contractors to certify numerous submissions. The article looks at some of the most common certifications contractors make, how those certifications can cause problems, and some ways to avoid those problems. This article is a summary of a presentation that Peckar & Abramson’s Mark Berry and Jesse Keene gave at the ARTBA Annual Law and Regulatory Forum in June 2015.
