P&A Attorneys Led a Seminar at Building Trades Employers’ Association on Construction Industry Compliance and Integrity Institute

Steven M. Charney, Paul G. Monte, Thomas J. Curran and Charles E. Williams, III led a seminar at the Building Trades Employers’ Association on Construction Industry Compliance and Integrity Institute on January 20, 2015. The seminar focused on M/W/DBE Compliance and Risk: Construction Managers, General Contractor, Subcontractor and Suppliers. Mr. Charney gave the opening remarks and was the conference moderator. During the first session Mr. Monte provided an overview of NYC, NYS and Federal M/W/DBE Requirements and Mr. Williams discussed M/W/DBE Certification Lists and “Independent” Integrity Monitors: Do they provide protection to contractors from potential civil/criminal action? In session II, Mr. Curran spoke on expansion of investigation into non-M/W/DBE suppliers and who is at risk.
