Peckar & Abramson’s Miami office hosted a Peer Conference titled: “Best Practices to Avoid Claims for Construction Defects and Effectively Dealing with Unavoidable Claims”. The conference was held on July 11, 2014 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, in our Miami office conference center. Steve H. Reisman, Vice Chairman of Peckar & Abramson and Alexander P. Hockman, President of NV5 Company and Chief Operating Officer of the Construction Quality Assurance Division of NV5 lead the discussion to include risk management’s role and the tools/techniques to deal with Chapter 558 Notices of Claim and construction defect litigation.
