Peckar & Abramson Partner Jerry Brodsky Named a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers

Peckar & Abramson, P.C. (P&A) is pleased to announce that Jerry P. Brodsky has been named a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers (ACCL). According to ACCL, Fellowship in the College is invitation-only and offered to those who have mastered the practice or teaching of construction law and dispute resolution; have established the highest standards of ethical conduct, scholarship, professionalism; and have demonstrated a commitment to “give back” to the construction industry.
Firm Chair Steven M. Charney, who was on hand for Jerry’s induction, commented, “It was a great pleasure to see Jerry receive the honor of being named a Fellow in the ACCL.” He continued, “This acknowledgment marks Jerry’s longstanding commitment to the practice of construction law at the highest levels for our clients and the industry at large, both in the United States and internationally.”
Jerry was formally inducted during the 2023 Annual American College of Construction Lawyers meeting on February 23-26 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Florida.

About Jerry P. Brodsky
Trilingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Jerry is well-known among peers for his expertise with dispute boards across Latin America and in other jurisdictions, and he is actively engaged in training local attorneys throughout the Americas in the use of dispute resolution techniques. An industry leader who is ever engaged in bringing thought leaders together, Jerry is Co-Founding partner of Construlegal, an alliance of law firms specializing in infrastructure and construction law in the Americas.
As Director of Peckar & Abramson’s Latin American Practice, Jerry represents international and domestic general contractors, construction managers, sureties, and other construction professionals in the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean. Additionally, he focuses on the negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation of construction contract claims, construction and design defect claims, insurance claims, surety bond claims, and related matters. Jerry’s practice experience also includes mega-projects for transportation and infrastructure, as well as industrial, commercial, and residential engineering and construction projects.
Jerry is ranked in Construction Law by Chambers USA and recognized by Florida Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers, and Who’s Who Legal. He received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, and his B.S. from Lehigh University.

According to ACCL, the College is an exclusive association of construction law practitioners, professors, and judges. Founded in 1989, its mission is to improve and enhance the practice and understanding of construction law and to promote the positive role of lawyers as “friends of the project.” The College includes lawyers from the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, and France.
