Peckar & Abramson is proud to have represented Flatiron/Dragados LLC in the achievement of the $400 million settlement announced by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) on October 12, 2023 arising out of the construction of the new Harbor Bridge in Corpus Christi, Texas.

In addition to settling all outstanding disputes and damage claims, TxDOT also removed the Notice of Default it had previously issued. Negotiations led by P&A Co-Founder Robert Peckar and Texas partners Matthew Moore and George Baldwin, ensued over a period of a year.

“This important settlement was achieved in no small part as a result of the good faith focus of all parties on getting the Harbor Bridge built in the earliest possible time and with the highest level of quality. We appreciate the professionalism of TxDOT’s fine attorneys, both in the Office of General Counsel and outside counsel,” Peckar said.
