Published Date: January 26, 2022
National construction law firm Peckar & Abramson, P.C. (P&A) is pleased to announce that Justin D. “JD” Holzheauser, senior counsel in the firm’s Austin office, has been selected to serve on the national Steering Committee for the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
According to the AGC, the CLC was established to “cultivate the next generation of leaders in the construction industry as well as the association both at the local and national levels. The purpose of the CLC is to act as a conduit for participants to network, exchange ideas about work and the industry, serve local communities and continuing education which includes both professional development and leadership skills.”
Phil Thoden, President and CEO of the AGC Austin Chapter said, “JD did a great job leading our local Austin AGC when he served as the Chair. Among his accomplishments at the time was initiating a very popular and successful clay shoot that has consistently generated funds for CLC scholarships to local students in construction programs. He’ll be a great addition to the national CLC as well!”
Stewart Shurtleff, a partner in P&A’s Dallas office, and active AGC member, remarked that, “JD has made an incredible impact here at P&A and within the Austin Chapter’s CLC program. We are extremely proud of his selection to the AGC’s national CLC Steering Committee. We look forward to seeing his leadership qualities bring great value to our industry through this opportunity.”
Levi Barrett, a partner in P&A’s New York office, and chair of the firm’s Contracts, Project Documentation and Risk Management practice, stated, “Having previously served on the national CLC Steering Committee, I understand the committee’s objectives and goals wholeheartedly, and I am confident JD is the perfect member to help carry them out.”
